I find that the more trips I take around the sun, the more I notice the different seasons in life. Some have brought weeks, months, even years of peace and calm, while others have carried struggle and hardship. The seasons that shape us often aren’t the easy ones, but the ones where we’re stretched, waiting, and learning to trust God in new ways. If you’re walking through a difficult season right now, I hope you’ll find encouragement in Lisa Harper’s testimony. I first heard it a few years ago, and I still marvel at the way God was at work in her life during such a hard chapter.
As I listened to Lisa’s story again, I was reminded how often this thread of waiting, praying, and hoping weaves its way into our lives. It even finds its place in the trilogy I’m currently writing, with my main character’s mother carrying that same kind of patient faith.
This is just part of Lisa’s story. I’ll be sharing more of her testimony in next week’s post.
If something in Lisa’s testimony spoke to you, I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments. ❤
